“I love my business as much today as I did 20+ years ago.” – David Bayes.

Bayes Tree Services was established in 1997 by David Bayes. He’d previously worked for Antony Crawford Landscapes whilst he studied horticulture. He really enjoyed the landscaping element, but his passion lay with the trees. He was guided into arboriculture by an old friend Mark Fothergil, who later became part of the Bayes Tree Services team.

David studied at Askham Bryan College and was mentored by Malcolm Moore in all aspects of tree work and advanced techniques. One of David’s first contracts was in Ray wood at Castle Howard. Under the guidance of leading arborist and plantsman Neil Batty, the team pruned, reduced and carefully dismantled trees in different sections of the woodland to preserve and give space to the rhododendron and azalea collection planted by Jim Russell. They also maintained the old dairies which had been another of Jim Russell’s projects.

It was during this time that David found his passion and the growth of Bayes Tree Services began. Resolving tree related problems is where BTS specialises and thrives. Being up to date with new equipment and techniques makes their work more efficient and safe, and helps to keep tree management costs down.

The BTS team is made up of experienced groundsmen and climbers, they are strong team players and great to work alongside. Having gained so much experience in arboriculture, there are very few problems or procedures that arise that the team haven’t already undertaken. Experience is key in what can be a dangerous industry. So rest assured, your tree care in whatever form, will be carried out in a professional, safe and efficient yet sympathetic manner.

David and the team look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance for choosing BTS for your professional arbor care.

“Had many years of excellent service from this company, they have always done a swift professional job when asked.
Really helped me out after the recent storm sorting out two dangerous trees within hours of being called.”
